Meet Cassidy — a new face in the Edwards Artistry portrait series, shot at golden hour in the Texas countryside. What started as four frames became a full look: forty-plus images of rust fabric, dry grass, worn leather boots, and light that behaves like it has somewhere better to be.
An open Texas field at golden hour. Dry grass underfoot, dark tree line behind, the sun low enough to turn everything it touches the color of honey. No studio, no backdrop — just the land doing what it does every evening, and a camera fast enough to keep up.

Fabric / Wardrobe
A rust-terracotta off-shoulder dress — soft, textured, moving with the wind instead of fighting it. The color pulls every warm tone out of the evening light and hands it back to the camera. Finished with worn cowboy boots: scuffed, honest, and entirely Texas. Nothing precious. Everything intentional
Pose
Unposed by design. Standing in the grass like she grew there. Walking through the frame mid-stride, dress catching air. Reclined low in the dry grass for the header — cheek near the earth, hair lit from behind like a halo the sun made by accident. The direction was simple: don’t perform the light. Let it find you.
About Her
Cassidy (n.): the part of you that doesn’t hurry the sunset. She wore the evening like it was hers — rust dress, dry grass, last light — and let the camera catch up. This series is forty-plus attempts to hold what she never tried to keep.
We shot where the field goes quiet: dark trees behind her, Texas dust under her boots, the sun doing its slow dissolve. A rust-colored dress catching every last warm tone the sky had left to give. Hair moving on its own. No stiffness, no performance — just a woman and the evening understanding each other.
Some sessions you direct. This one I mostly witnessed. The light did the heavy lifting; she did the rest by refusing to get in its way.
Golden hour doesn’t ask permission. Neither did she.
